Thread painting (realistic silk shading)

Joyce has stitched needlepoint and embroidery techniques for 43 years. Her interest has gone from simple cross stitch to her passion today, realistic silk shading. She creates subjects using photographs and introduces other techniques to enhance he...see morer designs. She has studied with international teachers as well as at the Royal School in London, England where she completed her certification and diploma studies in silk shading. Having exhibits nationally she has received many awards including several "Best in Show" ribbons. Joyce has taught classes and workshops for the Embroiderers' Guild of America and the American Needlepoint Guild. She is also a member of the National Academy of NeedleArts. see less
